This data is unique to each clip instance, and can be used to store clip-wide data that affects the appearance of video and/or audio in the clip, usually user-modifiable. What Does A Digital Asset Manager Do?

Click the Project panel to make it active, and create a bin called From Media Browser. Let's use the Media Browser to import the rest of the clips on the P2 card. Although we're advocating staying organized, both within and outside of Adobe Premiere Pro, there are "rush" workflows, like news workflows, where the amount of total time is measured in minutes from start to finish.

Media Browser

When you close your project and then reopen it, you see a dialog box that asks you to locate the file or allows you to skip it again. Use the Auto Save command to automatically save copies of your projects in the Premiere Pro Auto-Save folder. A project may contain multiple sequences, and the sequences within a project may differ from one another in their settings. Within a single project, you can edit individual segments as separate sequences, and then combine the segments into a finished program by nesting them into a longer sequence. Similarly, you can store multiple variations of a sequence, as separate sequences, in the same project.

Use Asset Management Hardware (Id Tags Or Barcodes)

You can determine if a clip has interlaced or progressive scanning in the Preview Area of the Project panel. Next to the timecode information, an indicator for interlaced or progressive scanning can be seen. You can determine the field order for a clip in the Preview Area of the Project panel.

You can also use assets created with different aspect ratios in the project. Click the output name to specify an output name for the exported video file. Make sure that Export Video and Export Audio are both checked so the file has both video and audio. The number of missing files will vary depending on the project you are attempting to open.

Director works with Interplay

Yes, Adobe Premiere Pro projects and After Effects projects can be imported as well. Adobe Premiere Pro only permits one project to be open at a time. Our favorite import method, by far, is the Media Browser (FIGURE 4.2).

Is Final Cut better than Premiere?

Adobe Premiere, on the other hand, is much slower. Without being tailor-made for a computer, it has to use what's available on each device. This makes exporting and rendering times much slower and means it'll drain your battery quicker than you can drain your bath. Final Cut Pro is the clear winner in performance.
